The Joseph Sheehan Road Race is 52 miles long. It starts and ends in Leavenworth, Kansas. The race commemorates the life of our son Joseph Sheehan who was killed at 11 years old while riding his bicycle to the Dairy Queen. The race has been going on for 10 years. We typically have at least 200 racers. There are multiple categories and cash prizes are awarded. The awards ceremony is conducted at the Metropolitan Steak House at the start/finish of the race.
