Team Updates

These are the notes from last night's team meeting:

1.  Team jerseys, bib shorts, and vests are still available at the shop in limited sizes.

2.  There will be a "Practice Ride" of the Joseph Sheehan Road Race starting at the Santa Fe Trails Bicycle Shop this Saturday at 8 AM.  Distance will be approximately 54 miles.

3.  The Sunflower State Games Team Time Trial is Saturday, April 7th.  We have formed several teams from Santa Fe Trails:
Erica Haas, Shawn Morelli, and Ann Parthemore.  Brendan Sheehan, Sean Smith, and Doug Harding.  Art Mathisen, Carl Fischer and Spencer Wallace.  Kris Howell, Mark Ramsden and Phil Griffith.  Online registration is open for this event until April 5.  Departure time from the shop on April 7 is 7 AM. 

4.  Tour of Hermann is April 21 and April 22. In Hermann, Missouri.  This race includes a time trial, a criterium and a road race. 

5.  Lanterne Rouge Time Trial is April 28.  10 KM time trial in Lowemont, KS.  (Approximately 8 miles west of the Fort Leavenworth Gate on 73 Higway).  Roger is requesting that you fill out your registration now and drop it off at the shop.  No monies will be collected until the day of the race. 

6.  Joseph Sheehan Road Race is April 29.  Volunteer meeting is next Wednesday at 7:30 PM.  If you get us a volunteer, you race free! 

7.  Trips for Kids Rides start next Wednesday at 4:10 PM from the shop.  Volunteers are needed.

8.  May events:  May 26 and 27.  Tallgrass Stage Race at Fort Riley, KS  May 27 Jesse Blancarte 10K Time Trial - Gardner, KS. 

9.  Marc Welde is in charge of Hats for our team.  He has the supplier's information, a sample hat and a timeline of 10 - 15 days to give us a design.
