Results of the Cancerthon 100km Team Race
Saturday, January 27th, 2003

Teams of 3 to 4 people completed 62 miles in about 3 hours and 23 minutes on a snowy track with mountain bikes, cross bikes and hybrids to raise money for the American Cancer Society.Congratulations to the trophy winning teams: 1st Ladies' Team - Linda Gainsford, Tera Cameron, and Teri Chang. 1st Mixed Team - Gretchen Timmons, Richard Timmons, Brian Vorhees, and Lyle Reynolds. 1st Team Overall - Kai Hess, Brian Parks, JB Vowell, Brendan Sheehan. 2nd Team Overall - Chris Call, Kimo Gallahue, Bill Hauschild, Chad Clark.

Of course the fastest bike on the track as ridden by 4 different riders was the Lemond Poprad Cyclocross Bike. This bike is famous for winning the World Championship in Poprad Slovakia. It was and is the only American victory in the Cross Worlds. Matt Kelly was the rider. This bike is available at Santa Fe Trails Bicycle Shop. A bargain at only $949!
